LED Tube Light

An LED tube light is a type of lighting fixture that uses Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) as the light source instead of traditional fluorescent tubes. LED tube lights are designed to fit into existing fluorescent tube fixtures, but they consume less energy and have a longer lifespan than fluorescent lights.

LED tube lights are more energy-efficient than fluorescent tube lights and can save up to 50-60% energy. They also last longer, with an average lifespan of 50,000 hours compared to the 15,000 hours of fluorescent tubes. Additionally, LED tube lights have better color rendering and do not contain hazardous materials like mercury, which is commonly found in fluorescent tubes.

There are two types of LED tube lights: ballast-compatible and ballast-bypass. Ballast-compatible LED tube lights are designed to work with existing fluorescent ballasts, which makes them easier to install but may limit the energy savings. Ballast-bypass LED tube lights require the removal of the existing ballast and direct wiring to the AC line voltage, which may require professional installation but offers greater energy savings.
